FIELD: food-processing industry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has feeding hopper, shell breaking device, nut gage, and separating and cleaning mechanism. Nut gage is made in the form of tray with portions of different diameter arranged in alternation. Shell breaking mechanism has rolls composed of parts, each corresponding to one size of nuts. Basic feeding screen positioned under roll parts is equipped with multiple grooves, each positioned under roll part of related gage. Apparatus of such construction allows cores to be completely separated from shells. EFFECT: increased nut breaking efficiency, simplified construction and improved quality of nuts. 2 dwg
