FIELD: food industry. SUBSTANCE: nut shelling device comprises high pressure chamber 1 and screen drum 5 accommodating freely-laid bars. Receiver 13 is positioned under the drum. Nuts are held in the air under pressure. Air penetrates into the nut through microscopic pores in the shell. As pressure outside of the nut is sharply relieved, the air cracks the shell from inside. For final separation of the kernel from the shell, the drum is set in rotation and its ribs put the bars in motion. Having reached a certain height, the bars fall on the nuts and completely crack their shells. Cleaned kernels fall through the screen into the receiver. EFFECT: improved functional and operating characteristics. 4 cl, 3 dwg
