REGULAR PACKING FOR SEPARATION AND MASS- TRANSFER APPARATUSES Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: equipment for carrying out of heat-mass-transfer and separation processes in gas(vapor)-liquid systems; applicable in gas, petrochemical and other allied industries. SUBSTANCE: regular packing has a few packages displaced relative to one another, assembled of parallel sheets with flexible porous bundle laid on each sheet over screw spiral with displaced turns relative to one another. Bundle is laid on surface of sheets facing each other in opposite directions. Packing lower package has vertical triangular overflow plate whose one side is secured to lower edges of packing parallel sheets and connected by corner opposite to this side with overflow device. Each vertical triangular overflow plate may be secured with its one side to one of packing parallel sheets, or to a few packing parallel sheets in places of their intersection with flexible porous bundle and located square to them. At least, one of two other sides of each vertical triangular overflow plate located square to packing parallel sheets has discharge trough with porous bundle at outlet. EFFECT: higher efficiency of processes of heat-mass-transfer and separation due to reduced carrying away of liquid with gas and increased gas productivity. 5 cl, 4 dwg
