FIELD: sorbents. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of dry compressed gas and, more specifically, to regeneration of adsorbents in adsorption apparatuses designed for drying of compressed air. In unit serving for drying of compressed gas before regeneration of adsorbent, adsorber is preliminarily discharged to achieve pressure by 2-5 kg/sq.cm exceeding atmosphere pressure, after which adsorbent is heated by microwave field to 200-250 C for 1 to 5 min (depending of the adsorber volume), whereas desorbed components are removed with gas remaining in adsorber after preliminary discharge by communicating adsorber with atmosphere for 10 to 30 s. EFFECT: reduced power consumption and regeneration time. 1 dwg
