METHOD OF PURIFICATION OF PROCESS AND SODA SOLUTIONS FROM SODIUM SULFATE Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: preparation of gas purification solutions in aluminium production and in other industries which use liquid absorption of acid gases by soda solution. SUBSTANCE: in order to carry out method of purification of solutions from sodium sulfates, C₂- C₄ alcohol is added to solution to be purified to concentration of 27±3 wt, and the whole is cooled to 2-10 C. After removing glauber's salt, sodium carbonate is added to filtrate and the whole is separated into layers by heating to 30-40 C, aqueous layer is then used in gas purification operation, and alcoholic layer is recycled to technological cycle. Method makes it possible to increase depth of purification from excessive amount sodium sulfate without using deep cooling. EFFECT: more efficient purification method. 2 cl, 1 dwg
