FIELD: chemical industry, preparation of structural alumina materials from natural bauxites. SUBSTANCE: blend comprises natural alumina bauxite and sintering additives: 6-12 wt % of titanium dioxide cellulated per blend including initial content thereof in bauxite and depending on degree of ferruginosity of bauxite and 1-3 wt % of calcium fluoride or fluorite. Bauxite comprises, wt %: Al2O3, 69-80; TiO2, 2.5-8.4; Fe2O3, 1.08-4.65; SiO2, 5-25; and other admixtures, 0.7-2.8. Method comprises mixing natural refractory bauxite with sintering fluoride and oxide additives, burning, grinding, pressing, drying and sintering at temperatures from 1340 to 1420 C.
