FIELD: construction engineering; technology of preparation of concrete mix, mainly decorative mix. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes mechanical grinding of concrete mix together with superplasticizer followed by stirring the mix with water and aggregates. Lignin sulfonate is used as superplasticizer. Crushed carbonate rock, quartz sand and pigments are added to ground mix, thus obtaining mix of the following composition, mass-%: cement, 29.4 to 84.7; crushed carbonate rock, 4.7 to 34.2; quartz sand, 4.7 to 34.3; lignin sulfonate, 0.6 to 1.7 and pigments, 1.5 to 4.5. Grinding is effected at mechanical action of 10 to 15 W on 1 kg of mix being treated for 120 to 300 s in aerodynamic grinding chamber provided with taper rod and spiral blades. Unit for preparation of concrete mix includes grinding chamber in whose housing rotor is mounted; is made in form of drive shaft with grinding bodies; unit includes also mixing chamber with working members made in form of blades, loading and unloading devices. Grinding chamber is aerodynamic; it is provided with delivery blades and centrifugal disk secured on drive shaft; centrifugal disk is provided with triangular holes over its periphery; ratio of their areas to area centrifugal disk ranges from 0.2 to 0.3. Grinding bodies are made in form of vertical rods mounted on centrifugal disk projecting above its upper and lower surfaces. Mixing chamber is provided with taper rod holding spiral blades. Unit is provided with second unloading device whose inlet is connected with grinding chamber and outlet is connected with mixing chamber.
