FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining and can be used in underground development of thin and medium thickness of coal beds lying at great depths. Method of driving paired workings along thin flat coal beds with leaving rock in the mine includes carrying out preparatory conveyor and ventilation drifts with leaving rock from driving in the worked-out area. Bed is divided by paired conveyor and ventilation drifts on panels, which are divided into two layers: upper layer – coal and lower layer – rock. Layers are prepared for mining by two-stage preparatory development of conveyor drift and ventilation drift. Layers are sequentially mined in descending order. When mining the upper layer on coal, the short-hole heading machine passes the conveyor drift along the coal, then, coal of the entire inter-drift pillar is mined for the entire length of the extraction pillar by driving n-number of slanting runs from the conveyor drift to the future ventilation drift with the coal of the future ventilation drift and returning to the conveyor drift along each slanting run. Broken coal is transported by self-propelled car to belt conveyor. With lag in time and space in the lower layer, the short-face tunnelling machine is cut along the rock into the ventilation drift and passes it and its crossings by an oblique drive in the opposite direction to the direction of development by the short-face tunnelling machine in the upper layer, bringing the dimensions of the workings to the design ones and providing for the coal ventilation of the dead-end face. Throwing unit is installed in the lower layer breaking and the worked-out inter-drift space is laid.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of mining operations.
