FIELD: methods of formation of high-velocity jets of working media, mainly, of liquids, particularly, methods of hydraulic cutting of rocks and materials with use of energy of high-velocity and high-pressure jets. SUBSTANCE: method consists in that high-velocity flow is passed through circular nozzle formed by conical surface of extension piece and conical insert surface with taper angle α, ensuring invariable cross-section area of circular gaps between surfaces of extension piece and insert. In this case, nozzle formed by two conical surfaces ensures collapse of formed jet. Liquid jet in form of hollow cone is formed with taper angle α ==15-120 deg and end surface of nozzle is conical with taper angle β ==180-α, so that end surface is square to axis of profile of circular nozzle. EFFECT: provided high-velocity jet of liquid and reduced energy input for its formation due to collapse cumulative effect. 3 cl, 4 dwg
