FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cutting by high-velocity fluid jet with abrasive. High-velocity flow of fluid is mixed with abrasive to make homogeneous body to be forced through nozzle. Note here that flow of fluid with abrasive is swirled by scroll groove made on nozzle inner surface, Groove width f, depth h and pitch S are selected from relationships: da≤f≤2da, da≤h≤1.5da, S=1·k, where da is abrasive sand particle diameter, 1 - nozzle length, k is factor depending on jet density, k = 0.5.
EFFECT: higher quality and efficiency.
