FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: squirrel-cage rotor has shaft- mounted iron stack held in position on both ends by means of pressure rings and provided with slots accommodating squirrel-cage bars; each bar is connected beyond iron stack to end ring held in position in radial direction by means of shaft-mounted supporting ring. Novelty is that both pressure rings are axially spaced apart from iron stack and at the same time form supporting ring with radial ribs placed between supporting ring and iron stack; these ribs are usually built integral with supporting ring. End portion of squirrel-cage winding is coupled throughout entire speed range of machine with rotor body. EFFECT: provision for eliminating self-excited vibrations except for differential self-excited vibrations that may occur. 9 cl, 6 dwg
