FIELD: electrical and radio engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention can find use as source of direct current or as motor in D C electric motor drives. D C machine includes armature with winding, smooth rotor separated by air gap. Immobile armature is fixed in nonmagnetic bed. It includes hollow cylinder made of magnetically soft steel with holes over circumference in its middle part and spiral winding with paired crossed turns passing through mentioned holes which are laid on smooth cylinder or dropped in slots made in its internal and external surfaces. Rotor comes in the form of two hollow cylinders of magnetically soft steel with source of longitudinal permanent magnetic field confined between them which are put on common shaft placed in nonmagnetic bearing shields. EFFECT: generation of both substantial voltages and currents, simplified design, adaptability to manufacture, increased reliability, reduced mass and cost of machine. 2 cl, 3 dwg
