FIELD: applicable for control of traction motors. SUBSTANCE: the device has a D.C. motor with a series exciting winding and a winding of commutating poles, armature e. m.f. monitor, armature supply voltage sensor, the first electronic switch in the armature circuit, the first controlled rectifier of preliminary supply of the series exciting winding connected to the latter via the second controlled switch, and an exciting current monitor, the second controlled rectifier of preliminary supply of the winding of the commutating poles connected to the latter via the third controlled switch and a current monitor, and control unit of the first, second and third electronic switches, and the setting circuits of the first, second controlled rectifier. Before restoration of the supply voltage, the required current of the series exciting winding is induced via the first controlled rectifier, which is monitored by the armature e.m.f. monitor. The serviceability of the preliminary supply circuit is monitored by the exciting current transmitter. The required commutating flow from the commutating poles is induced via the second controlled rectifier, monitoring it by the exciting current of the commutating poles and comparing with the earlier detected armature current. EFFECT: limited armature current and improved switching capacity of the commutating assembly at a disconnection and sudden restoration of the power supply voltage. 1 dwg
