FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves introducing flexible end piece of rubber tube into the animal rectum cavity. The end piece is connected to electric measurement system. The tube is connected to graduated reservoir. Electrodes are immersed into the reservoir. The reservoir and tubes are filled with electric conductive solution and electric current intensity is recorded with the electric measurement system. Current intensity depends on the degree the electrodes are immersed into the solution being in proportional relation to intestine wall contraction.
