The stimulation with electric impulse is carried out at the point between the median and posterior scalene muscles near the neck base. M-response is recorded at the level of V-VI rib on the median axillary line. M-response value being less than 1.23 mV at its right and 0.84 mV at its left, M-response amplitude ratio on the healthy and ill side being greater than 1.92, impulse passage velocity in the nerve being beyond the range of 49.30-63.40 m/s to its right and 49.47-63.56 m/s to its left, asymmetry coefficient being greater than 7.06%, median scalene muscle syndrome is to be diagnosed.
