FIELD: manufacture of heat-insulating and filtering elements for pipe line filters, side-walk slabs, etc. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes laying filler in mold having perforated walls, bottom and cover, sealing-up vibration, adding the filler, securing the skeleton thus obtained by means of cover, heating sulfur binder and mold filled with filler to temperature of 150 ± 5°C, submerging mold in melt and impregnation of filler for 1 to 10 min. , withdrawal of mold from melt and keeping it above surface of melt to let excessive melt of sulfur binder drain from inter-granular space of filler followed by cooling and stripping the mold. EFFECT: facilitated manufacture of elements; possibility of obtaining preset physico-mechanical and thermotechnical characteristics. 2 ex _
