FIELD: laser technology. SUBSTANCE: converter of polarization of laser radiation is made of four uniaxial cones with identical angles at vertexes which are installed in sequence in path of ray propagation. First cone has outer reflecting surface from vertex of cone, second cone has internal reflecting surface in the form of truncated cone. First and second cones are set with vertexes opposing radiation, third and fourth cones are mirror symmetry of first and second cones with reference to plane perpendicular to incident ray. Angles of cones are so chosen that summary phase shift after reflection from all cones amounts to λ/4. Phase-shifting coat can be deposited on one of reflecting surfaces as minimum. EFFECT: enhanced degree of axially symmetric polarization, reduced losses, simplified design of converter and enhanced radiation power. 1 cl, 1 dwg _
