FIELD: mechanical engineering; power plants with internal combustion engines used on diesel locomotives. SUBSTANCE: proposed power plant has internal combustion engine, turbocompressor furnished with suction and exhaust branch pipes and communicating with intake and exhaust manifolds of engine, supercharging air cooler with hot and cold spaces, cooling agent circulation circuit and brake system compressor. Cooling agent circulation circuit has evaporator, expander and cooler installed in tandem. Brake system compressor driven by engine is provided with inlet branch pipe with fitted-in air filter. Air filler has housing with conical lower part accommodating condensate trap,. Upper part of housing accommodates convergent nozzle with inlet and outlet holes. Screw grooves made on inner surface of nozzle are arranged longitudinally from inlet to outlet holes. Deflecting partition is installed before outlet hole. EFFECT: reduced power consumption. 3 dwg
