DEVICE FOR THERMOMECHANICAL DRILLING OF HOLES Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: mining industry, in particular, devices for hole drilling and reaming in hard rocks. SUBSTANCE: device includes drilling tool in the form of drilling string. Installed on end of drilling string are rock cutting members and jet-piercing burner with main lines supplying fuel, water and air. Air supply line is connected through heat exchanger and adsorber with pressure branch pipe of compressor which has filter with narrowing nozzle. The latter is made with internal longitudinal helical grooves from inlet to outlet holes which end in annular groove in front of outlet hole of narrowing nozzle. Annular groove has diametrically opposite holes filled with flexible material with axisymmetric holes whose cross-section varies under the action of excessive pressure of flow of sucked-in air. EFFECT: reduced power consumption in drilling process due to reduced power consumption in production of compressed air used as oxidizer in jet-percing burner and as main factor in hole blowing. 4 dwg
