CONIFER BRANCH STOCKING APPARATUS Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: forestry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has frame and gasoline power saw mounted on frame. Working tool made in the form of bush 6 with end cutting teeth 7 is mounted at end of saw bar. Sprocket 8 rigidly fixed to mid portion of bush 6 is driven by saw chain. Bush 6 rests with its ends upon bearings 13. Cantilevered pins are positioned adjacent to zone where bearings 13 are arranged. During operation of apparatus, conifer branch is fed with its base end into bush opening. Teeth 7 cut off conifer branches without damaging them. Pins prevent branches from rotation. At the final stage, conifer branch is drawn out with its base end at opposite side of bush 6. Apparatus is used for stocking conifer branches directly at felling site. EFFECT: simplified construction and improved quality of stocked conifer branches. 3 dwg
