FIELD: construction and forest fire engineering. SUBSTANCE: device is used in particular for fighting forest fire under permafrost conditions by laying mineralized control line formed by making slit in ground; ground excavated from groove is placed on layer of adjacent combustible materials of wood followed by closing mentioned groove after fire extinguishing. Drain slit closing device has working element and bar; working element is made in the form of lateral cutting posts joined together at lower part by means of undercutting knife and bent out towards each other at rear part. Front part of cutting posts is beveled upward to rear part of working element; in addition, lower part of cutting posts is joined by means of crosspiece installed behind undercutting knife; guide is fixed on lower surface of crosspiece; bar is joined to guide and provided with bracket carrying supporting wheels. Undercutting knife is installed at certain angle to horizon so that its self-deepening is ensured in the course of work. EFFECT: improved reliability of drain slit closing. 3 dwg
