FIELD: metallurgy, namely foundry, particularly mold for continuous ingot casting with apparatus for electromagnetic agitation of melt. SUBSTANCE: melt steel poured by means of immersible nozzle into mold is selectively loaded by different electromagnetic fields with use of electromagnetic coils. The last are arranged along wide lateral walls of mold and they are connected with possibility of selection of different electromagnetic fields depending upon casting schedules and conditions at casting mode. Electromagnetic fields may be rotating and directed to both sides relative to mold center towards its narrow lateral walls or mutually opposite directed to mold center or static. Mold is provided with computer for controlling continuous casting process. Such mold provides enhanced distribution of melt at slow casting process and killed metal heel at quick casting process.
