SUBSTANCE: apparatus has continuous casting device, leveling furnace, shears arranged before and behind leveling furnace, scale remover, rolling mill, heating and cooling device, strip winder or winding machine. Apparatus is equipped with continuous rolling line formed of, for example, five quarto stands defining first group of rolling stands, and separate heating devices arranged between succession of stands of first group of quarto stands. Strip winder or winding machine is of double winder or double winding machine type. Apparatus is designed for continuous or intermittent expansion of hot-rolled strip with austenite or ferrite structure from thin ingots manufactured by continuous casting method.
