CIGARETTE LIGHTER Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: automobiles; electrical equipment. SUBSTANCE: proposed cigarette lighter has electric contact insulated from body and located in bottom of body, socket holder made from bimetallic plate with tabs to retain lighter holder provided with cup with resistor. Bimetallic plate is coupled with indicated contact. Cigarette lighter has also thermal cutout coupled with indicated contact and socket holder. Cutout is made of bimetallic plate with bent off tabs first of which is bent towards tabs of socket holder for contact with resistor of holder cup. Second tab designed for thermal protection from overheating caused by short circuit is bent towards body bottom and is arranged with clearance relative to inner surface of body. Metal plates are made of materials with similar deflection at same temperatures, and tabs on cutout plate are made at its one edge and are arranged in clearance between adjacent tabs of socket holder plate. EFFECT: improved reliability in operation, increased service life at provision of guaranteed safety. 6 cl, 7 dwg
