CAR CIGARETTE LIGHTER Russian patent published in 2005 - IPC

FIELD: automotive industry; electrical equipment of cars; cigarette lighters.

SUBSTANCE: proposed cigarette lighter consists of fixed part and movable part fitted in fixed part. Movable part of cigarette lighter id made in form of cylinder in inner space of which cup with heating element designed for lighting a cigarette is installed. Fixed part of cigarette lighter is formed by cylindrical socket one end face of which contact system is arranged insulated from socket. Other end face is open and designed for fitting movable part. Contact system has electric contact, contact bimetallic terminal and bimetallic thermal cutout. Said thermal cutout is essentially bimetallic strip with two bent tabs arranged at opposite edges and pointed in different directions. First tab is arc-curved from thermal cutout strip to opposite edge pointed into fixed part of cigarette lighter. Second tab is made narrowing to end part and is provided with contact installed in through hole of end part and pointed by working surface to adjacent inner surface of socket.

EFFECT: improved reliability of cigarette lighter, improved conditions of operation of contact elements at higher load currents.
