FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: 2-keto-L-gulonic acid Is prepared by oxidation of sorbose on heterogeneous platinum-containing catalyst. Process is carried out in alkali medium with equimolar NaHCO3 content under vigorous stirring and bubbling of oxidizing agent. Catalyst is polymeric platinum-containing catalyst prepared by adding platinum to super cross-linked polystyrene in amount of 20-52 g/l. Platinum content in catalyst is 2-4%. Oxidizing agent is pure oxygen which is bubbled at rate of 440 to 450 ml/min. Reaction is carried out at sorbose concentration of 0.22-0.44 mole/l, temperature from 60 to 70 C and stirring intensity fro 9000 to 1000 rpm. Method makes it possible to prepare 2-keto-L-gulonic acid with high yield. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 5 cl, 1 dwg
