FIELD: rock breaking tools. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to diamond drill bits to core boreholes. Proposed diamond drill bit has body and diamond matrix divided by washing grooves into sectors composed of stepped part and pilot part extended towards face. Stepped and pilot parts are manufactured separately in the form of individual sectors arranged staggered, some extending towards face to form hydraulic chambers conjugate to washing grooves. Sectors extended towards face are displaced relative to mean radius of matrix inwards and other sectors are displaced towards periphery. Structure of drill bit provides for efficient drilling with lesser energy consumption, for reduced metal consumption and for improved core formation. EFFECT: reduced energy consumption during drilling by way of decrease of area of face surface of matrix and isolation of core from external mechanical action of walls of holes. 2 dwg
