FIELD: building, namely major repairs of underground pipelines. SUBSTANCE: apparatus is designed for holding suspended pipeline string at repairing operating pipeline. Apparatus includes lifting support and head support mutually joined by means of step-motion hydraulic cylinder. Lifting support is provided with mechanism for lifting pipeline. Both supports are moved alternatively. When pipeline is handled by lifting support head support is unloaded and it is moved by one step by means of hydraulic cylinder. When pipeline is descended and rests upon head support unloaded lifting support may be moved. Apparatus may operate on longitudinal slopes up to 35 degrees. EFFECT: enlarged possibilities at handling pipelines. 3 cl, 16 dwg
