FIELD: teaching aids for studying laws and phenomena in physics and electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has common switch, ammeter, measuring coil, and n parallel circuits set up of series-connected switches and inductance coils. The latter are placed in similar way to form pile of relatively parallel coils magnetically coupled with measuring coil. Device is provided with mount carrying pile of n inductance coils. Calibrated scale is placed on mount. First moving platform with position indicator and rod is displacing along mount relative to n inductance coils. Measuring coil is mounted on second moving platform revolving about axle arranged perpendicular to first moving platform. First lead of ac generator is connected to first common point of connection of n parallel circuits set up of series-connected switches and inductance coils. Second lead of generator is connected through ammeter and general switch to second point of connection of n parallel circuits by means of (n-1)-position selector switch. Fixed contacts of selector switch are connected to respective common points of connection of switches and inductance coils of (n-1) parallel circuits by means of double-pole two-way switch, second contact of its first pole being connected to movable contact of (n-1)- position selector switch. Second contact of second pole is connected to first lead of ac generator. First contacts of first and second poles are connected to measuring coil leads and to electromotive-force meter whose leads are connected to common contacts of first and second poles of double-pole two-way switch.
