FIELD: physics, possible use in laboratory practicum of physics course.

SUBSTANCE: device contains two flat coils, position in front of and parallel to each other, connected serially to generator of sound frequency. Both coils are mounted on a support, on which scale with points is positioned. Movable platform moves across the support between coils along the scale with points. Measuring toroidal coil is mounted on mobile platform at the level of axis of two coils and at even distance from them in such a way, that its axis coincides with direction of intensity vector of electric field created by alternating magnetic field of both coils. Indicator of position of toroidal measuring coil is positioned on moving platform and coincides with axis of measuring toroidal coil. Input clamps of EMF recorder are connected to contacts of measuring toroidal coil. Drive with belt transmission is fastened to a support and moves mobile platform between aforementioned coils along the scale with points. Supporting toroidal coil is mounted on support between coils at level of their axis in such a way, that axes of measuring toroidal coil and supporting toroidal coil are parallel. Phase difference meter is included, first input of which is connected to contacts of measuring toroidal coil, and second input - to contacts of supporting toroidal coil.
