SUBSTANCE: method involves destroying skin water barrier to increase transepidural moisture loss during prolonged time (weeks or months), applying mechanical and dissolving action like taking-off with ribbon or washing with acetone. Cosmetic creams and gels with active ingredients like lactic acid as primary water-soluble agent for destroying the barrier are used in treatment. Retinoid like sodium palmitate of vitamin A is administered as lipid-soluble agent for destroying the barrier. Some known cerebroside for inhibiting barrier restoration is used. Creams and gels are useable for a long time to provide continuous mode of supported barrier destruction process.
