FIELD: organic synthesis catalysts. SUBSTANCE: more specifically, invention relates to catalysts for production of acetaldehyde, acetone, and methyl ethyl ketone, in particular aqueous solutions of palladium chloride, cupric chloride, and acetic acid. Process consists in action of carbon monoxide or olefin, or hydrogen to form reduced solid precipitate, which is treated with oxygen or oxygen- containing gas in presence of hydrochloric acid solution and waste water. To reduced mixture consisting of salt precipitate and mother solution, 0.08-0.12% sodium hydroxide or sodium carbonate solution is added at volume ratio to catalyst solution (0.8- 1.2):1. Mother solution is then separated from crystals, which are washed to remove sodium and potassium cations and oxidized. Regeneration of catalyst including removal of sodium and potassium cations as well as other catalyst poisons is accompanied by nearly complete reuse of copper and palladium ions. EFFECT: improved regeneration quality. 1 dwg, 2 tbl
