FIELD: packing. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to making of hollow articles, in particular, containers from cardboard and like materials. It provides the following operations: transportation of blank 22 limited by longitudinal edges or cardboard wed 2 or other like material from which blank is separated and delivered to bending position 5. Blank 22 or web 2 is bent by means of guide members acting as bending device and then is held in stationary state on bending position 5 where it is bent by means of movable bending devices to form hollow article 15 and form zone of overlapping in which two longitudinal edges of blank 22 which are parallel relative to longitudinal axis of hollow article are arranged one over the other and are connected to each other and then so-formed hollow article 15 is moved off from bending position 5.
