FIELD: mechanical engineering; materials handling facilities. SUBSTANCE: proposed group gripper for cluster of fuel elements of nuclear reactors has base designed for connection to lifting/lowering mechanism and at least two similar type grips. Each grip has collect secured on housing coaxially to rod with conical tip of indicated grip. Collet has claws designed for engagement with load. Flexible coupling of housing of each grip with base is provided. Reaction of each coupling to housing is different in direction to gravity force acting onto load. Rigidity of couplings of any pair of grips differs in guaranteed value providing minimum required relative displacement of loads. Device is provided with rod displacement drive. Mechanical transmission from drive to rod in each grip is furnished with tie-rod passing through hollow screw and resting on this screw by its end far from rod. Device has nut installed in housing for rotation on bearing and composing screw pair with above-indicated screw. Nut is connected through splines with gear wheel enclosing the nut and designed for engagement with gear wheel-outlet member of drive. It has compression spring enclosing the tie-rod and arranged between shoulder on end of tie-rod close to rod and cover of cup enclosing the spring. Rod is connected with bottom of cup.
