FIELD: organic chemistry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel (4-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert. -butylphenyl)-propionic acid salts of the general formula (I) 
where R means C(CH3)3; Me means metal taken among the group: Zn, Ba, Ca; n means metal valency = 2. Compounds are synthesized by interaction of (4-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert.-butylphenyl)-propionic acid methyl ester with metal oxide taken among Zn, Ba, Ca in an aqueous medium and/or in medium of C1 - C4-aliphatic alcohol at 85-130 C, under pressure 1-4 atm and molar ratio ester : metal oxide = 1:(0.50-0.52). (4-Hydroxy-3,5-di- tert. -butylphenyl)-propionic acid salts can be used as stabilizing agents of polyvinyl chlorides. Invention provides synthesis of new (4-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert. -butylphenyl)-propionic acid salts.
