FIELD: organic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: invention describes method for preparing metal dimethyldithiocarbamates that are accelerators in rubber vulcanization of the formula (I) wherein n= 1; m = 2 or 3; Me means Zn, FE, Ni, Pb, Co or Bi. Method involves interaction of 2,6-di-tert.-butylphenol, carbon disulfide and amine-containing agent in methanol medium followed by treatment of corresponding dimethyldithiocarbamate alcoholic solution prepared at the first stage with water- soluble salt of metal indicated above. Light fraction of amines is used as amine-containing agent of the following composition, wt.-%: trimethylamine, 0.01-1; dimethylamine, 13-18; N,N- tetramethylmethylenediamine (bisamine), 15-35; water, 1-10; methanol, the balance, up to 100. Interaction of dimethyldithiocarbamate dimethylammonium with water-soluble salt of metal is carried out in the mole ratio = 1.0 : (0.3-0.5). This method allow utilization of 4-methyl-2,6-di-tert.-butylphenol as waste of production and to exclude sewage formation. EFFECT: simplified process, reduced cost of end product. 3 tbl
