FIELD: machine engineering, possibly automatic assembling of threaded joints. SUBSTANCE: bolt with shaped head includes threaded rod, flange with supporting surface and shaped head with outer members engaging with mounting tool and being in the form of alternating lengthwise dents and recesses mutually joined by radial surfaces. Lateral surface of recesses of shaped head is cylindrical, lateral surface of dents has cylindrical and cone portions. Small diameter of circumscribing circle in cone portion consists 0.93-0.98 of diameter of circumscribing circle of cylindrical portion of lateral surface of dents. Length of cone portion is equal to 0.25-0.45 of height of shaped head. It simplifies manufacture of bolt with shaped head, provides high torque of mounting tool and accurate placing of tool onto bolt head. EFFECT: improved design. 1 dwg
