FIELD: nondestructive testing of materials by embedding tips kept under impact load material under test. SUBSTANCE: device is provided with trigger-latch, comparator, analog switch and peak detector. Comparator furnishes pulse when second derivative of valid signal exceeds preset threshold magnitude, thus excluding operation of trigger-latch from interference. Trigger-latch is used for control of analog switch and transmission of signal of second derivative to peak detector only in case of operation of triggering mechanism. Data processing unit includes keyboard, control and synchronization device, arithmetical logic unit, on-line storage and permanent storage. Data processing unit makes it possible to perform mathematical processing of results of set of measurements and correction of result depending on position of striking mechanism (upward, downward, horizontally). Impact spring of sensor is made in form of flexible plate, thus excluding its jarring. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 3 dwg
