SUBSTANCE: method of preparing bifidobacterium-base bacterial preparation involves preparing nutrition medium, its cooling to culturing point, addition of bifidobacterium pure cultures followed by isolation of biomass from cultural fluid. Sodium selenite and magnesium sulfate taken in the ratio = (1-1.25):1 are added to nutrition medium in the process of its preparing. A single culture or association of bifido- -bacteria including Bifidobacterium longum, Bifidobacterium bifidum and Bifidobacterium adolescens and/or Bifidobacterium breve, and/or Bifidobacterium infantis are added as the source of pure cultures taken in the amount 1.0-1.5 vol. % of each culture. Invention can be used for enrichment of foodstuffs with selenium and their providing to curative-prophylactic properties promoting to maintenance of status of synatropic bifidobacteria in adult humans, normalization of intestine microflora in newborns and patients with intestine dysbacteriosis induced by radiation sickness, results of chemotherapy and antibiotic therapy.
