FIELD: mining, mining of diamonds from steeply dipping ore bodies of kimberlite deposits. SUBSTANCE: method includes drilling of vertical holes in ore body with drilled out diamond-containing ore retrieved to surface in form of pulp. Diamond-containing ore retrieved from ore body is subjected to hydraulic jetting, irradiation with beam of accelerated electrons, registration of Vavilov-Cherenkov radiation in diamonds and removal of parts of diamond-containing ore in which local brightness of luminescence is detected. EFFECT: high degree of recovery , preservation and absence of technogenic damages to mined diamonds due to more efficient disintegration of diamond-containing ore in immediate vicinity of drilling rig. 2 dwg
