FIELD: concentration, for instance, of weakly magnetic ores. SUBSTANCE: initial pulp is successively disintegrated, classified on concentrator with separation of product fine fraction, separation of sand product in hydraulic classifier by size using counterflow washing with aerated water. Hydraulic classifier is made in form of cylindrical vessel in which holder is installed in a spaced relation to body and having vertical row of conical cups with through hole along central axis and spaced at interval equal to or higher than height of a cup. Made in upper part of hydraulic classifier body are holes and closed cone secured in cover. Mounted in middle part is, at least, one branch pipe for supply of pulp, and mounted in lower narrow part of cylinder are central unloading branch pipe with changeable circular nozzle and one or two side branch pipes supplying water and air. Solid angle α of cup cone is not in excess of 90 deg. Cross-section area of cup lower hole is equal to area of gap of circular section between cup upper edge and hydraulic classifier body. Light fraction are directed by gravity to shelved classifier for subsequent separation, and then, each fraction is directed to concentration table with respective sand and slime deck riffles.
