FIELD: process engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ore dressing and may be used in separation of ore. Proposed method comprises grinding initial material, is grading to fine and coarse fractions, deslurrying and magnetic separation of fine fraction to produce magnetite concentrate and tails of wet magnetic separation. First, tails are subjected to primary hydraulic classification in hydraulic cyclones with extracting coarse fractions of sands and fine fraction of drainage. Then, fine sand fractions are subjected to secondary classification in one or several steps to extract fine fractions of drainage and water in tails while coarse fractions of condensed sands are subjected to control hydraulic classification in one or several steps along with directing fine fractions of drainage and water in tails. Sands of primary and control classification are subjected to mechanical classification at sieving surfaces of high-frequency vibration screens in conditions of vibration boiling and segregation of mineral fractions to bulk density and fineness of aggregate with increase in mass portion of mesh minus. Note here that mesh plus of said classification are sent to tails while mesh minus are integrated, averaged in mixing and directed to flotation or separation at screw separators to obtain hematite concentrate and tails.
