FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed multistage transfer case has housing 1, input shaft 2 and output shaft 3 interaxle differential 14 with lock-up clutch 23, front axle center differential 40, rear axle control clutch 47, front axle control clutch 48 and four-position slider 49 for interaction of both clutches. One gear 17 of interaxle differential 14 is installed on output shaft 3, and other gear 18 is installed on tubular shaft 29 installed on output shaft 3. Front axle center differential 40 is secured on cylindrical driven gear 39. Rear axle control clutch 47 is designed for selective engagement with toothed rim 33 of bevel gear 30 freely fitted on tubular shaft 29 and meshed with driven bevel gear 31 secured on rear axle drive shaft 32, or with toothed rim 35 of output shaft 3. Front axle control clutch 48 is designed for selective engagement with above-indicated toothed rim or with 36 of cylindrical gear 38 meshed with driven gear 39. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities of vehicle owing to provision of forward-drive and rear-drive operation at wheel arrangement of 4x2 in additional to differential and locked-up operation at wheel arranged of 4x4. 3 dwg
