FIELD: transport engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed transfer case has housing, coaxial primary shaft and secondary shaft and countershaft parallel to primary and secondary shafts, differential coupled with secondary shaft, three-position clutch installed between pairs of low gears on secondary shaft hub, gearshift clutch with reverse gear installed on axis between secondary shaft and countershaft, two twin gearshift clutches, each consisting of one-way clutch members engaged with fork and four-position clutch installed on rim of secondary shaft to selectively engage countershaft gears with secondary shaft gears or with differential gears. EFFECT: reduced metal usage in transfer case, improved operating capabilities and increased efficiency. 3 dwg
