FIELD: sonar measurement technique; manufacture of towed navigation sonar equipment and study of world ocean. SUBSTANCE: sonar equipment includes hanger provided with sealing-up and units, locking mechanism with contact connector and hanger microclimate system. Hanger is made in form of tube whose diameter corresponds to diameter of equipment and its length is equal to sum of lengths of receiving antenna and transducer. Hanger tube is mainly located in ship's keel body, in its longitudinal plane. Its upper end is extended above waterline. Mechanism for adjustment of equipment is made in form of water pump for building up pressure in tube above outside pressure. Hanger sealing-up unit located in stern is formed by hermetic joint of sidelooking sonar body with end of tube; tightness of hanger in bow is attained by means of seal. Hanger microclimate system mainly consists of heaters arranged inside hanger and reservoir filled with inert gas which is communicate with hanger tube. Sonar is connected with power cable by means of variable-depth sonar through transducer and receiving antenna. Power cable is laid inside tube and is wound on reel of equipment hauling0in mechanism. Reel is located in fore portion of ship. Locking mechanism with contact connector is located in hanger tube, in stern. Variable-depth sonar cable, at point of its connection with power cable, is made in form of lock provided with guide lug and mating part of contact connector of locking mechanism.
