FIELD: ferrous metallurgy, more specifically, methods of ladle treatment of steel. SUBSTANCE: added to ladle is solid lime- alumina chromium-containing slag-forming mixture in which magnesium oxide is introduced. Total content of chromium and magnesium in form of compounds in mixture is 2-7.4%. Ratio of components in mixture is Al2O3:Σ(Cr2O3,MgO)=3.75-20. EFFECT: provided optimal conditions for acceleration of reaction processes and higher degree of metal disulfuration, increased stability of slag lining on vacuumizer branch pipes. 1 tbl
