FIELD: pulp-and-paper industry. SUBSTANCE: corrugated cardboard contains flat cardboard layers interconnected by starch-containing glue, and corrugated paper laid between cardboard layers. Flat cardboard layers are joined with corrugated paper by means of two types of starch-containing glues having different pasting temperatures. Method involves corrugating paper; preparing two types of starch-containing glues differing one from another by pasting temperature; applying high pasting temperature starch-containing glue to upper edges at one side of corrugated paper and putting one layer of cardboard, with following gluing under high temperature and pressure in gluing machine; applying low pasting temperature starch-containing glue to upper edges at opposite side of corrugated paper and putting other layer of cardboard, with following gluing under low temperature and pressure on plates positioned downstream of gluing machine. Method allows high-quality corrugated cardboard to be manufactured at maximum speeds of corrugator. Corrugated cardboard of such structure may be used for production of packaging materials.
