FIELD: medicine, traumatology, orthopedics. SUBSTANCE: firstly, method involves electroneuromyographic analyze and disorders of spinal cord function disorder are detected. To patients with backborn and spinal cord damages but without severe neurological disorders with diseases when hormonal therapy is prescribed in an emergency (the first group) glucocorticoids are administrated in the dose 0.1 mg/kg for children and 0.5 mg/kg for adults as measured for prednisolon. To patients with backbone and spinal cord damages of light and mean degree of severity and without the above indicated diseases before trauma (the second group) glucocorticoids are administrated in the dose 1.0 mg/kg. Then in 1.0-1.5 h after glucocorticoids administration control electroneuromyographic analyze is carried out. In the case of improvement of conducting function of spinal cord administration of glucocorticoids is ceased but in the case of absence of improvement the dose is increased gradually up to revealing the positive dynamics of spinal cord conducting function. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment. 3 cl, 2 dwg, 2 ex
