FIELD: synthesis of trifluoromethane sulfonic acid derivatives, fine organic, manufacture of medicines, fungicides, extracting agents and catalysts. SUBSTANCE: method comprises electrolyzing mixture of methane sulfonic compounds and hydrogen fluoride on nickel electrodes, partially fluorinated methane sulfonic compounds being preadded to mixture in amount of 3-10 wt %. Method makes it possible to reduce starting period of electrochemical fluorination, cut down consumption of reagents and increase efficiency. EFFECT: more efficient preparation method. 1 tbl
