DECORATIVE STRAP Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: decorative plastic articles. SUBSTANCE: strap used as screening member engageable with parts and mechanisms of locking devices has composite-outline shell-type body provided with hole; strap deflection from linearity and surface evenness in loose position is maximum 1-1.5 and 15-25%, respectively. Outer shape of article is essentially equal-thickness shell made of curvilinear sections with radii of 20, 75, and 25 mm. Transfer to internal surface is effected over surfaces rounded at radii of 1 and 1.5 mm; one of sections is then coupled with composite section whose size varies in different sections of decorative strap; section is rectilinear; opposing inner surfaces of shell are engageable along perpendicular line with composite section whose inclined sides form together wedge-shaped section joined with radial surface at foot and with that on top. Strap outline, as viewed from top, is made of surfaces integrated by radial joints; stiffening ribs are mounted on internal part of decorative strap shell. Part is acute-angled at one of butt-ends as viewed on outline projection with radial joints varying in shape. L-shaped brackets rigidly fixed to shell section are provided with longitudinal openings ensuring self-adjustment of threaded members throughout entire length of strap.
